second edition / starting July 9

galerie LA 40

Formerly known as “Sous le Chapiteau,” the LA 40 gallery is back. Starting in July, 11 new muralists will add their own touch to the columns beneath the Métropolitaine, transforming the concrete into works of art. Large-scale murals, paste-ups, and public art: new colors are taking root in the heart of Saint-Michel.

artistic collage

The LA 40 Gallery invited community artists, schools, and organizations to create temporary collage artworks. Participants were invited to create bright, vibrant works that place people at the heart of the creative process and evoke vitality, creativity, and the connection between art and nature. After a selection process, the creations were installed on the columns by professionals, breathing new life into this public space. Come see them under Highway 40, between Molson Street and 1st Avenue.
