Kaori Izumiya

Kaori Izumiya is a Japanese visual artist based in Montreal who works in the fields of painting, mural art, illustration, and animation background art, adopting a multidisciplinary approach in her practice. Her work has been exhibited in Japan, New Zealand, and Canada. Weaving together personal reflection and collective memory, and drawing inspiration from her cultural heritage, nature, and the idea of interconnectedness, her visual language continues to evolve under the influence of the places she has lived and the experiences she has had.
