Bryan Beyung

Bryan Beyung (王永財) is a Chinese-Cambodian visual artist based in Montreal. Through muralism, painting, and drawing, he explores the diasporic experience and examines the notions of belonging, collective memory, and transmission. His work bridges neo-muralism, post-graffiti, and contemporary painting, transforming public spaces into venues for visual and social reflection. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and festivals, including La Foire en Art Actuel de Québec, La Centrale Powerhouse and Pierre-François Ouellette (Montreal), Forest For The Trees (Seattle), the Urban Art Biennale (Völklingen), and during residencies at Jardins Racine (Racine), Art by Friends (Annecy), and Void Projects (Miami), among others. His murals can be seen in several cities, including Calgary, Rabat, St. Petersburg, Boston, Lynn, Lowell, Montreal, Annecy, Phnom Penh, and Port-au-Prince, among others.

His practice explores themes such as impermanence, the tension between tradition and modernity, and destruction and reconstruction. Inspired by photographic research, graphic design, and urban culture, he transforms images, objects, and everyday moments into visual narratives.
