Gio Mantis

Gio Mantis is a Mexican visual artist and muralist whose work explores the connections between humanity, nature, and the regeneration of ecosystems.
She has been drawing and painting since childhood, developing a deep connection with art at an early age as a tool for expression, awareness, and social transformation. Her artistic practice combines muralism, painting, immersive installations, and collective projects aimed at fostering dialogue, reflection, and action around biodiversity, cultural memory, and the relationship between communities and their natural environment.
With a background in international law and sustainability, Gio integrates art, environmental education, and community participation into initiatives with social and ecological impact. She is a co-founder of Somos Axolotl, a platform that develops artistic and environmental projects focused on ecosystem regeneration, species conservation, and strengthening community ties. Through murals, cultural events, and large-scale public interventions, her work presents art as a living bridge between culture, nature, and collective transformation.
